Kathmandu.
A Nepali migrant worker in Qatar lost his life from electrocution. His body has
still not arrived in Nepal even after 10 days of his death.
Resident
of Panchthar Ekten Lasune , Nurku Sherpa died from electrocution on August 31
in his room at 9 PM. 36 years old Sherpa had left for Qatar to work as Helper
through Royal Manpower company, Lazimpat on March 4 , 2008. GEFONT Support
Group (GSG) member Ganesh Baral Magar informed the body was taken for postmortem
in Hummad in Qatar but has not provided with the report yet causing the delay
in sending the body.
He
also informed that GSG is taking necessary step to identify legal process to
send Sherpa’s body home and to claim his right to benefit and compensation from
the company.
